The reading culture

What is culture? First, check all about culture in general in Find out below and discuss it in pairs. For example, define the youth culture and list its features in your notebook.

A reading {culture;skills;activity} is a part of literacy and long-life learning, {which;who;what} are keys to success of an individual. It is the understanding {and;but;of} appreciation of reading. It cannot be taken for granted as it does {not;no;so} simply exist, but it should be created {by;in;of} a society, in which {reading;writing;speaking} culture is promoted through many activities related to reading. Not {only;often;ever} are people expected to read, but also to {visit;go;come} libraries, take part in literary events and get involved {in;on;with} reading projects.
To foster a reading culture, each society should turn {into;on;with} a community of readers with good reading {skills;culture;book} , habits and in which reading for pleasure is "cool".
