a) Write a text with the title What do I have to say to the world. You can find some ideas in the exercise at page 3. There are also several quotes on the subject that will help you understand the problems better. A video with Severn Suzuki can also serve you as a model.

b) Or you can choose just one of the problems and write about that. It depends how much you know on the issue. Write 150 – 180 words. Show your writing to your teacher.

Think of what you wrote in the previous exercise. It's time to put it in the form that more people will be able to see/hear it. You can even use the Internet to find some slogans that you like.

If you decide to make a poster:

Choose a few key message about things that you find important. Write them down in big letters. Add something artistic – support your message with a drawing, a painting, or a clip/cutting from a magazine. Make it interesting in terms of content as well as aesthetics.

If you decide to make a video:

First, make a script. Hand out the text to the actors. They should learn their text well, they should speak loud and clear. Make your video 2 to 5 minutes long. Add music as the background. Discuss it with the teacher if your video is good enough to be played on a school event or even posted on the Internet.

You can work in a group or on your own.
